- The use of technology is nearly inevitable in our era. Firstly, technology indeed opens a lot of doors for the world of education. Videos, white boards, educational apps on tablets are only a few examples of the many opportunities which can improve or even make the lessons more relevant for the learners. Secondly, the school is supposed to equip the learners for the future world. Therefore, teachers should not only use technology when preparing or presenting lessons but rather incorporate technology in such a way that the learners are using it themselves. However, incorporating technology is not as easy for everybody, hence this blog might be helpful for that purpose.
Kelly Walsh, the author of this blog, publishes every week about a relevant topic she is doing research about. If you have specific educational questions, you can also contact her directly. Nevertheless under "posts by category" are a large number of posts, sorted by topic and hence easy to find. In addition, in order to provide even more easily accessible information, Walsh also has a couple of short video tutorials.
Even if you are a "techi", this blog still might interest you since it keeps you up to date with the latest findings and accomplishments around technology in classrooms.

This is a great blog with lots of valuable sites for teachers use! I teach in New Zealand and use many of the sites that are in this blog but several posts brought me attention to new and exciting ideas that I can use in the classroom!
ReplyDeleteHere is one site that I love to use in my classrooms both by using ready to use story maps or creating my own story maps. Even better still the students can create their own story maps.
This is just one example of a story map that is been made and ready to use. There are thousands on various topics to look at and use!
